TJ wrangler
Released in mid-1996 as a 1997 model year, the TJ wrangler featured another change in grill design, moving the marker lights to the fenders, and returning to the round headlamps that Jeeps had been previously known for. Despite the fact that many TJ's were produced in 1996, there is no model year 1996 Wrangler. It featured coil spring suspension on both front and rear axles, giving it a smoother ride and better handling. In 2004, the Rubicon edition was released, featuring Dana 44 axles in front and back with selectable locking differentials.
